Meet Our Board

Orange County Academy of Sciences and Arts is governed by a nonprofit Board of Directors. OCASA's board complies with Government Code Section 1090.

Sophie Léguillette


Over the past 18 years Sophie has developed very strong overall global marketing and channel marketing experience in the high-tech and biotech industries. She has a passion for building strong, high-performing marketing teams who leverage the latest marketing technologies. Her current interest is in evolving teams into modern marketers—finding in them the right mix of creativity and science. A few highlights of her career include: building strong marketing operations support teams; globalizing the marketing organization at Epicor; and implementing marketing automation solutions at both MSC Software and Sage.  Multi-lingual and well-travelled, Sophie enjoys all kinds of outdoor sports, is an avid skier and frequently takes her three children on international trips. True to her French background, she appreciates the finer things in life. Ms. Leguillette holds and MBA from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).


Dr. Alyssa Olguin


Alyssa Olguin is an experienced researcher with over 10 years of extensive training and expertise in molecular biology techniques; able to direct and train research personnel in different methods and technologies.  Dr. Olguin is a dedicated scientist with exceptional problem-solving, trouble-shooting and organizational skills who is dedicated  to teaching, developing and mentoring students in the Biological Sciences
Dr. Olguin obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and a B.S. Biological Science from California State University, Fullerton.

Dr. Michael Yadlowsky


Michael Yadlowsky is a Commercial Technology Manager with Corning Incorporated; he has also held a number of technology and leadership roles in Research and Development and the Optical Communications business sector in Corning.  Dr Yadlowsky’s work has included optical fibers, optical amplifiers, optical communication systems and measurement techniques and has contributed to new products and technologies resulting in > $400M in sales. Dr. Yadlowsky has more than 40 technical publications and 26 patents.
Previously, Dr. Yadlowsky was a Principal Engineer at Alcon Research where he conducted research on ophthalmic surgical instrumentation and led the development and manufacturing transfer of novel technologies for cataract and vitreo-retinal surgery.  After graduate school, Dr. Yadlowsky was a National Research Council Research Associate at the National Institutes of Health where he investigated biomedical applications of optical imaging technologies.  
Dr. Yadlowsky holds MS and PhD degrees from the University of Colorado, Boulder, an MBA from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia.


Todd Keener


Todd Keener is the COO/CTO for American Databank where he drives multi-million dollar software development initiatives along with the day-to- day operations of this 70-person FBI background and Drug Screening company. Prior to joining American DataBank, Mr. Keener was the Chief Information Officer at 3c Networks where he was responsible for a $2.2M software development budget and managed nearly 100 developers building an enterprise-class application consisting of both web and mobile apps. Mr. Keener has cultivated a team of local and off-shore developers over the last 8 years and is capable of applying these resources for both short-term and long-term projects. In addition to playing a role in the 3C project mentioned above, this team has also built best-in- class research sites, front-ends for big-data/business analytics platforms, and several other large business applications.
With more than twenty years of internet, software development and technology experience, Keener has served in various leadership positions including V.P. of Information Systems at Arrival Communications, a $30 million independent telecomm company, and as founder of Stonehenge Internet Corporation, one of Colorado’s largest Internet Service Providers, which he bootstrapped and sold to publically-traded Rocky Mountain Internet.
Mr. Keener holds an M.B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Computer Science from Hawaii Loa College.
